Based on Forgotten Emotive Hardcore YouTube channel, Hardcorefiles is a related blog by the same author. My goal is to collect as many emhc bands as possible. It kinda sucks when you discover a blog is much more useful over YouTube channel after almost 2 years uploading, and you have to start not only all over again, but even much more sophisticated. Digging informations, cover-arts, tracks, photos etc. and putting them in one place – that’s my job here. I realized this genre is too valid and fragile just to ignore it. We are talking about basement/garage/parking lad fucking hardcore underground bands that are not that easy to find. I spent hours and hours on the internet finding these and I want to share it so you don’t have to do this jigsaw like I did. Way more bands are uploaded on my YouTube channel than here and that’s maybe half of what I’ve got in my offline PC library so far. I’m sure there are still many people that have way more bands than me collected. I’m just one of them. And I find this genre totally uniqe. And I share. That’s it.

Few things I feel need to be said:

1. Genre fighting bullshit comments
A lot of people tend to add comments like “this is no emotive hardcore, it’s more like noise fucking screamcore” or whatever… people, do not do this here!
We all should be subconsciousnessly awared that there is true stuff, and there’s bad stuff. I personally love a group on Last.fm called “I listen to real emo so I’m better than you”, haha. I think that covers everything. Just don’t talk about it and don’t bash kids with fancy hairstyles… because one of these kids posts me a message time to time saying and I quote: “I’m just emo kid and I thought this would be some old boring stuff but I listened to few bands on the channel and it is really great music!” You see? Just leave it alone and some of them might find the way…

2. Collecting together
Are you with me? Sometimes I just can’t find all the info I seek, so when you see missing file written somewhere on the blog and you think you have/know it, please let me know and I will update! The same if you you think I published some information wrongly or not true, I’m not perfect. Just use comment field and I’ll take care of it.

3. Going slowly
I try to do at least one upload a week but it’s not that easy every time… my friends, job and band of my own suck me dry most and I like it that way.
So please understand and don’t hate me for this slow posting. Thank you.

I want to start off by saying that Forgotten Emotive Hardcore is souley responsible for EMHC coming back into my life; a sort of personal second wave. I had a night job at a youth shelter here in San Francisco and I would stay up all night memorizing the channel. Thank you. I am writing because I was at Ebullition Records in Southern California where I am from not to long ago(getting the Man Rae 7″ which they still have in print). I got to talking to Kent and Lisa and they were excited about what you were doing and asked that you link your page to the Ebullition facebook account so more HCkids new and old could get into it. They were not worried about the downloads, as long as the kids are getting the music. Thought you might want to know. Thanks for everything.

Hi, this is pretty great! Thanks for this! About the links… I just started hardcoreFiles own Facebook page too so people can be notified about new uploads/posts vua Facebook. I will put up Ebullitions and hardcoreFiles Facebook links here once I fix/rebuild my computer.
Thanks again for mentioning my doing at Ebullitions Clay, I really appreciate it.

    Dear Sir,

    Thank you.

    Thank you very, very much.

You are doing so much good. I think of this blog every time one of my friends defines “real screamo” as As I Lay Dying.
